ECSVD News January 2026

Dear colleagues and friends,
As we start a new year, we look back to the last Congress in Hamburg in September with great thanks to Linn Woelber for all her work in arranging a great meeting. It was wonderful to see old friends and to make new ones and to see the interest that there is in vulval disease across several specialities.
I am sure you will all join me in thanking Linn and her Hamburg colleagues for their work in bringing together the meeting and the social events. Congratulations to the prize winners for oral and poster presentations, you can find details of these here.
You can also find a detailed report of the congress.
The presentations will be available to those who attended the meeting until the end of March 2026.
Thanks also go to the ECSVD council members who help to support the society. Some of our councillors, Pia Hallonen, Christina Damsted Petersen, Sophie Berville and Kim Meeuwis have now completed their term and have been replaced by Maaike Bleeker, Niccolò Gallio, Svitrigaile Grincevičienė and Annelinde Terlou. Elmar Joura has now finished his 4 years on the council as a past president and I am delighted that Hans Verstraelen has agreed to be our President Elect. Micheline Moyal Barracco has handed over the position of Treasurer to Etienne Beaufils. We especially thank Micheline (and Sophie Berville as her deputy) for the many years she has served in looking after the ECSVD finances. You can find details of all our council members here.
We now look forward to the next meeting in London in September 2027. Do save the date of 9th-11th September 2027 and start thinking about areas of research and studies that could be presented. Further details will be coming out in the months ahead.
Please also visit our website www.ecsvd.eu as our webmaster Benjamin Hagedorn, has kindly updated this and we hope to add some more information in future that will be helpful to you and your patients.
Wishing you all the best for 2026
Fiona
